Rethink your creative genius by shifting into your heart space. Let go, get playful and have some artful fun with nature and its many gifts.

Rethink your creative genius by shifting into your heart space with ShaWoman Nature Art online retreat. Take a day out from your busy life, let go, get playful and have some artful fun with nature’s many gifts.

Indulge in the earth honoring ritual of nature art journaling and activate your hands, heart and sacred art making space. No experience necessary, just a love of nature, spirituality and creativity – whatever that means to you.

To begin, we discuss the ecological diversity of North Stradbroke Island. Jo Fay shares her extensivee experience in making art on location in the island habitats. We will work to reclaim the hunter gatherer spirit and collect resources. Nature Art is the delicate manipulation of mother nature’s ephemera; sand, stick, leaf, feather and stone into an aesthetic that accentuates form, line, colours or ideas.

.Just make sure you are ready to free up your mind, liberate your work space and hands to get in the flow.

Nature Art follows the Nature Spirits Retreat. Each work in beautifully with eachother.

– We use tailored meditations, gentle exercise and breath work to help clear and cleanse the mind and hone our intuitive perceptions.

– Expect some discussion about the islands unique ecology

– Delve into tactile experience of line, form, colour and texture

– Overcome art making as a mind set, and instead tune into the human heart as an energy centre of perception

– We will be getting out into nature

– There are chairs available for those unable to sit on a cushion or yoga mat.Expect some solo and group work, plenty of guidance and instruction. Sound is an important part of shamanic group work so there will be a live sound healing at the end of the day.

– This is a drug and alcohol free event.

Bring a yoga mat, cushion, eye mask and warm covering for the meditation content of the day, as these won’t be provided (this is at your discretion).

Bring water bottle and any personal hand sanitiser or mask you may require.

Wear comfortable footwear for 30 minutes of walking.

This is a sensational opportunity to take photos on the island of a completely different kind.

We are an event friendly to all genders, generations and cultures. The venue is accessible to those of differing abilities and mobilities.

If you are coming from the mainland, you can catch the vehicle ferry over (45 minutes) and find yourself a lovely beach shack and stay for the night or the week to enjoy the island. Or just walk on to the North Stradbroke Island Flyer at Cleveland which takes 25 minutes. We would recommend catching the 7.55am or the 8.55am boat, as there is a connecting bus that will take you to the door at SOUL LODGE Amity Point at 9.25 in time for a retreat start at 9.45/10.

Pulan Pulan is the Aboriginal name for Amity Point where this retreat is taking place on Quandamooka Country.
